Curriculum meets employer and worker needs

Curriculum development takes time and a talented writer to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of the individual and the employer. Instructors do not always have the time or the skills for developing curriculum; their role is to deliver the curriculum. These skill sets are not the same. Programs should not expect instructors to know how to write and develop curriculum and may have to include a request for funds for a curriculum writer in their initial proposals. Many of the Families Forward partnerships also found success by inviting employers to be directly engaged in curriculum development.
