Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System should target funding
to enhance the relationship between businesses and local campuses.
Types of funding should include specific funding sources for curriculum
development to meet regional industry needs. |

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System and the University
of Minnesota should offer more web-based curriculum. Though curriculum
development is expensive, it may be one of the best and most cost
effective solutions in the long run. |
| The
Department of Employment and Economic Development should ensure funding
is available to serve businesses in the way they need to be served:
quickly. Currently the WorkForce Center System does not have the staffing
necessary for meeting business needs and increased staff capacity
requires additional resources. |
| The
State should allocate additional funds or target current funds that
will allow service providers and training institutions to be more
flexible in the way they serve their customers to encourage innovation. |
