The GWDC Learned:

• Vocational, technical and community colleges / centers need to offer more flexible training programs with alternative evening and weekend class schedules. They need to receive public funds to offer on-site childcare in the evenings and weekends. A light, inexpensive meal for both the parent and child is highly desirable.
  
  
• Technical colleges should customize programs for groups of low-income workers who come from many different work places, just as they do for individual businesses that want a customized training solely for their employees.
